Katerina Beli Head of Communication’s Group

Katerina Beli, born and raised in Thessaloniki, is on her third year of studying in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communications in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

She first discovered her love for journalism at the age of 10, when she decided to publish the class newspaper. From then on, her passion for journalism only grew bigger. Since graduating school, she has acted as Editor-in-chief for an annual magazine and a youth-oriented site. Currently, she works as Press Officer at a known sport event of Thessaloniki.

Katerina was 14 when she participated in her first conference, as a member of the Press Team. Since then, she has being a part of over 15 conferences, as journalist, delegate, advisor or member of the Organizing Committee.

As a freshman in SimUnesCO, she cannot contain her excitement and she is counting the days until August 18. Understanding that the challenge for the Communication Group is to capture the essence of the conference with their work, she hopes to help the group as best as she can to achieve this goal.

SimUnesCO 2018 is promising to be the highlight of your summer and the Communication Group will be there to report, to capture the moment and your feelings and to help make this conference an once in a lifetime experience.

Anna Giapitzi-Papandreou Head of Press

Anna Giapitzi-Papandreou is 18 years old and was born in Patras, Greece. It is her honour to participate in this year’s conference as the Head of Press! She is currently a Law student in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her interests include MUNing, travelling, dancing and listening to hiphop music.

Anna first began engaging with MUN Conferences in the 9th grade of high school. Since then she has participated in 16 conferences as a delegate, a journalist, a chair, a secretariat and an organising member. Moreover, she has taken part in many debate tournaments both in greek and in english.

Having worked hard twice already in SimUnesCO as a Journalist, she discovered her love for photography and article writing. This year, she has the utmost pleasure to serve as the Head of Press in SimUnesCO 2018!

She is really excited and looking forward to work on the conference’s blog, capture lots of SimUnesCO moments and cooperate with everyone so as to make this years’ conference an unforgettable one whatsoever!

Clearly, SimUnesCO 2018 is your chance to take a stand! The Press Team awaits all of you and looks forward to a wonderful conference!

Dimitris Gounaridis Director of Photography

Dimitris Gounaridis (22) is a post-graduate of Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki, department of Information Technology.

Passionate for computers and technology from a young age, now an amateur photographer with a growing love for audio/video production. In his free time he likes writing/listening to music (mostly rock and metal).

Dimitris aims to improve this year’s visual aspects of the conference by including more awesome videography work from the daily life of the conference as well as by providingcomplete solutions to technical issues that may arise.

During the conference don’t be afraid to approach him and ask for a memorable photo.

His personal wishes for this year’s conference: “Last year’s conference was an amazing experience for me as I met lots of new people and many of them became great friends. I hope this year’s conference is an even better experience for everyone in all aspects of the conference. Let’s grab some nice shots together and furthermore have lots of fun and great conversations. See you all in Corfu!”
