Sotirios Livas Assistant Professor of International Relations at the Ionian University, lawyer

Dr Sotirios Livas is Assistant Professor of International Relations at the Ionian University as well as lawyer, who holds a BA in Law from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. His research interests are; the position and role of Turkey in the Middle East, the migratory flows from the Middle East to Europe and the expressions of the radical Islam. He is the author of a book about the Guilen religious movement, of two monographs about Middle East and Islam , a co-author of a study on the new European citizenship(edited in English by the Cambridge Scholars), and curator of Spanish-Greek – Greek-Spanish dictionary of legal terms. Furthermore, he has published many articles in Greek and English(on Human Rights in Turkey, the regional organizations of Middle East, Jihad and on the intangible intellectual goods), as well as translations of books, articles and short stories(from English and Spanish).
